i had this procedure done 1 month ago . SUCESS!!!! no period so far , one day surgery, you get badddddddd CRAMPS afterward, but i woke up the next day and felt myself again. it amazed me that the recovery time was minimal, and to think i was going to opt for a hystorectomy because of pain , heavy bleeding , and family history of GYN problems. i am done having kids so at 34 it was a good choice for me. good luck >>

>I had the therma choice done this past april, the procedure wasnt as bad as i thought it would be, Alot of cramping afterwards but thats about it. Now a month later i still cramp alot but no bleeeding, ( knock on wood) I had a d&c done on 2-4-2004 with heavy bleeding starting back in april, I was soooo mad because that was the second d&c i had within 3 years and i knew it wasnt going to help the bleeding. In april i had to miss work and go see my doctor for an emergency visit because of the bleeding, I was almost to the point of hemeraging, I know i lost alot of blood and the doctor said this couldnt keep going on so he sceduled the therma choice for that same week. I am soon to be 38 ,i have 2 children and i dont want anymore, But i never recieved any pamplets either on this surgery. My question is i know i should have a complete historectomy but my docter is fighting me on this, Saying because of my age the insurance companies are stopping the procedure. What do they do in cases like this. if this therma choice doesnt work for me i think i am switching doctors because this is really getting out of hand and very expencive for me also. Any advise would be appreaciated.. Thanks tammy
