Hi All, Can anyone tell me what exactly is IC? Is it Endo of the bladder or what? I was diagnosed 2 months ago with Stage 1 Endo. I saw a urologist 2 days ago, hoping that during my upcoming hysterectomy (I'm 49 yrs old), he would tack my bladder up. During my first visit with him, he examined me internally and much to my surprise, when he felt my bladder, it hurt like the dickens. They also found a trace of blood in my urine. So, tomorrow I go in for a KCL test, then an xray the next day, and one more test next week sometime. While talking to the nurse at the urologists, I asked if any of these tests would show whether I have Endo on my bladder. Her response was this...."we call it Interstitial Cystitis." I read a little about the KCL test and I'm sure not looking forward to it....a positive test can be very painful. Has anyone had this test? Thanks....and I hope all of you are doing well!
