Re: Adenomyosis? Biopsy?From: Denise (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed May 19 18:41:46 2004
Hi, I had an endometrial biopsy a few months ago. It was done in the GYN's office. I didn't think it was bad at all. It is a wierd sensation when they swish the instrument around. I would definitely recommend you take pain medication prior to the procedure. I took something about a half-hour beforehand. There is an adenomyosis support group on Yahoo health groups that I am a member of.....http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/adenomyosis_support/?yguid=163843186 Also, there is a lot said about Lupron on the Endometriosis Research Center group on Yahoo....http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/adenomyosis_support/?yguid=163843186 Actually, both groups talk a lot about Lupron and you may find some help visiting both sites. Is your GYN doing the endometrial biopsy to confirm adenomyosis? It really is not a good indicator for adeno. Check out these sites too....http://www.geocities.com/zoieangel/, http://www.hystercity.com/, http://www.hystersisters.com Best, Denise
