I have been officially diagnosed with endo for about 4 years. I had 7 laps with endo removed at various stages. I have severe pain and heavy, prolonged, irregular bleeding. The pain is severe in my sacral area and radiates down my legs. I have medial thigh pain and umbilical pain also. One Endo specialist insisted I did not have adenomyosis based on MRI and repeatedly stated, I do not have any idea why you are bleeding. However, I have been told I have thickening of the posterior wall of the uterus and highly suspicious of adenomyosis by three different Physicians, one radiologist, two endo specialists based on my symptoms and uterine findings on u/s. The pain in my sacral area has increased over the past 5 years to the point of tears when I am on my feet over 1 hr or more. The only definitive diagnosis of adenomyosis is uterine pathology after the uterus is removed. There are many treatment options, but the only cure appears for adenomyosis is hysterectomy. Good luck!
