Re: Scared!From: Anne-Marie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue May 11 21:30:58 2004
After studying how lesions form after surgery, I think I'd rather be upright and moving around than sitting up for too long a period. When you sit for any length of time your organs all bunch together inside and they arn't being moved around a great deal. I know there is pain when you move, but you need to make sure you have adequate pain relief and keep moving, or your sadly going have more of a chance of developing adhesions occuring where the endo is removed. Also, you need good circulation to pelvic area to get nutrients there to help with healing. Sitting in a compressed position is not a good idea in those circumstances. Either laying down, with your bed head slightly tilted up and frequently getting up to walk may be a better option. If you have pain on moving, get your Doctor to review your pain meds. Tramadol is said to be a good one and I tried that after my caesar and was up walking sooner than previosly and caesars are more difficult to recover from that laps as tit involves a huge wound as opposed to 3-4 small incisions.
