I've had depo provera and got pregnant within a year of having the shot. Took about 6 months to get out of my system completely. I was offered that to help with my endo but I did so much research into synthetic progesterones and natural progesterone that I am now aware that having that is what caused many of my depressions. Of course this is different for different women. I feel its ok to use as birth control between babies but not at my age when your own natural progesterone levels are low and not as a permanent solution. That would be far better addressed with natural progesterone for women who are not concerned with getting pregnant in my opinion. That or the vitex that I used to balance my hormones.

Lupron works by blocking estrogen which is the hormone causing a lot of the symptoms in endometriosis. However, when you block estrogen, its like menopause and along with that come all the symptoms of menopause and also possibility of bone loss. So that is not technically a treatment one should use for too long either. I feel your better off using odiet and herbs to balance your hormones than taking some of the drugs they advocate but then thats just my personal opinion after researching as much as I have.
