Re: Very Confused!!!From: Anne-Marie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue May 11 20:27:11 2004
All I can say is that fizzy drinks such as coke or diet coke contain phosphorous not to mention aspartame or other types of artificial sweetener. Too much phosphorus negates uptake of calcium to bone and also asparatame and saccarin or other articial sweentens actually block good prostaglandins, so I'd say that the reason your not having pain could be something to do with the latter. Perhaps there has been a normalising of your prostaglandins and they are balanced enough for you not to have as much pain. I'd like to note that I started to have most of my Endo problems when went on a diet and cut carbs down and I swear it was because I upped my intake of these things. It really aggravated my problems with my joints and also thats when I started to suffer symptoms of endo. So you can done well to eradicate that from your diet I'd say. Women are far better off eating fruit if they have sugar cravings than drinking a can of fizzy pop or eating a cream cake. I know the cream cake tastes nice, but the apple is far more healthier IMO and your doing yourself a great favor.
