Lori, Just b/c something is natural doesn't mean it's safe. There are dangers with natural alternatives as there are with conventional medicine. Also, a lot of natural alternatives interact with prescription meds and the reason is b/c they (the natural alternative) are in their pure form whereas the drug has the herb or whatever ground down so fine and also with other additives. Some people with certain health conditions can not take natural alternatives of any kind or allergies to natural alternatives. I know you are thinking that Western drs do not agree to condone natural alternatives if they are MDs has to do strictly with money but that's not true. Also, they may not get the full amount of training in natural alternatives like you think they should but they do get enough (including DOs that can work with both conventional and alternative medicine) to know which natural alternatives are not safe to use with prescription meds or which will aggrivate certain health conditions. Also, not everything you read on the Net is accurate. Just like with drs when we get info from them the info that one gets needs to be taken with a grain of salt. If it (the progesterone cream) has done no harm on people who have used it then why have I met several women who have had problems with it or it didn't work for them? Also, if it is so wonderful why isn't it being subjected to clinical trials funded by the NIH and such to verify that and it's safeness? I'm glad that it works for you Lori but it is not an option for everyone. Even with doing all the research that is out there about Progesterone cream the person should still talk to their dr. And then decide accordingly but also remember to pls take it with a grain of salt the info they get, but as I said before just b/c something is natural that doesn't always mean it's safe for everyone to use.
