(I have had problems almost since the onset of my first period 12/13yrs of age) Unfortunately during my surgery they were unable to remove my endo because it is mostly located behind my womb and they were unable to lift my womb to get to it. So, now I am on my birth control Non stop in order to prevent my period from occurring. This is to stop the pain as well as to "convince" my body that it is pregnant in order to stop my cycle. My GYN says that I must be period free for a year if this process is going to work. Anyway, the reason I am posting this message is because I have noticed that after intercourse I tend to feel an instant pain in my abdomen and lower back areas (also when i was experiencing the most pain during periods, it was in my lower back areas). I do experience some pain during intercourse, but nothing compared to after I climax. It's a constant, cramp-like pain that I get and it sometimes lasts for hours afterwards.. I suppose my question is whether or not this should be an additional concern or just a sympton that I am going to have to live with for awhile. My GYN always insists to me that I should ONLY have pain if I am bleeding...so I have been a bit confused. (especially following a time i went to the ER because I was experiencing terrible cramps in my abdomen all week and I was unable to sleep...the doctors at the er said one thing and my gyn just laughed and said, that's impossible...) I have read a lot about endo and have never read anything that mentions pain only with bleeding.
