Re: Anyone have/had appendix problems w/ endometriosis?

From: Annette (anonymous@obgyn.net)

My appendix was taken out during my one-and-only lap in Feb. 03. I had a sharp pain in my right side and never thought it would be endo on my appendix, but it was there! Who would have thought it would go up that high, but I had stage IV endo and it was everywhere!

Even after my surgery, I still get sharp pains in the area where my appendix would be. Maybe there are some adhesions left or something. You just never know with this endo thing!

>>I have gone to Dr. Tureck for a few years. He has done a few laps on me. The problem with UPenn and the Drs. they are more into fertiltiy issues then treating endo. I have been told this in their office. If you want something more personal, you may not get this at UPenn. They are a busy teaching hospital with many severe fertility and endo cases. Many times they are too busy to address just endo issues.
