Angela,

Go to http://www.rxlist.com and search both meds. You can get all the information about the chemical makeup, uses, side-effects, contraindications, etc.

Pain meds are wonderful things but they are not kind to the tummy, kidneys, liver, etc. which is one of the reasons why many doctors are reluctant to write or refill 'scripts for the strong ones.
