A Natural Remedy for Bowel & Bladder Problems

I tried one woman's recommendation of Slippery Elm and >it REALLY helps. MUCH better than over the counter drugs.

Hi, I am so glad to read this. Yea! My best friend with endo & fibroids(removed) had every medical test done- 10 years constipated & never could find exactly the cause, she uses it daily now also.

"The herb works with the body to draw out impurities and toxins, assisting with the healing of all body parts. Slippery Elm's coating action soothes the irritated tissues of the intestines, colon, urinary tract, and stomach ulcers"

I get it from my naturopath, but most health food stores carry it-has to be the powder. Here is some info about it: most drs. have never heard of it. http://www.viable-herbal.com/singles/herbs/s890.htm http://www.botanical.com/botanical/mgmh/e/elmsli09.html http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/healthinfo/wholehealth/slipperyelm.html

also recently I looked up the amino acids my naturopath dr. has given me "Glycine" is one of them- it is an amino acid & noted to repair damaged tissue & promote healing. Look it up on the internet, I do not have a link

I have used it since October 2003 & no more stomach/bowel/bladder related problems. I am afraid of surgery so opted the natural route instead. Please pray for me, I have my gyno appt. this Friday & am nervous, hoping that I have had some success with the herbs....with shrinking a lump & ovarian cyst. Trying to avoid surgery! God Bless Lori
