Hi all, I'm new to this site and from what I have read so far on Lupron I'm terrified and I just got my first shot on the 9th! I will get them once a mo. for 6 months. I have started taking calcium and evening primrose oil. I just wanted to know if you have had any good experiences and results with lupron since most seem to be negative and I finally won't let myself read those anymore. I haven't had any bad side effects yet although I know its plenty early. I have had some trouble sleeping and a few mild hot flashes at night but thats it. I do have a question though.... please respond if you know the answer...... I started my period on the day of my first shot, well the first 3 days it was like my period stopped then started again and was "heavy, normal" and then satruday and sunday it winded down and I thought I was done, well this a.m. I woke up to heavy again with clots (no alarm on size though, normal). How long did your first and hopefully last period last when you started the shots? I called to ask today and got the run around of other #'s to call and nurses not being able to answer it until finally one agreed to ask my dr and call me back but I had a long day at work and the message on machine only said to call and it was to late so I will call in the a.m. Sorry so long but just hoping for some positives to make some of the negatives not so scary.
