I was diagnosed with stage 4 endo in Feb 2004. I was told by my Dr that I should have a complete hysterectomy since I am only 33 I was very upset. A friend of mine who has battled stage 4 Endo for many years referred me to her Dr for a second opinion and I am so glad she did. She had been to three other Drs before him and had no luck. After a lap done by this Dr she has been Endo and pain free for two years. This Dr specializes in this disease and in my opinion is great. I had a lap done on March 31,2004 and was feeling great just 4 days after. I just went for another visit yesterday and told him I had joined this website when I was diagnosed. I asked him how other women could find a Dr in there area who could help them the way he helped me. Everytime I am on this site and I read about someone looking for a Dr I want to cry because I know how you feel I have been there. The Dr I went to is Prabhat Ahluwalia he has an office in Utica, NY and in Little Falls, NY. He also told me for women looking for Drs in their area go http://www.AAGL.com you can get a list of Drs in your area. You will need to decide if they specialize in Endo. When I was checking Drs credentials I went to my state homepage you might want to try that. I was able to see that Dr Ahluwalia was specialized in this disease and is currently teaching other Drs about this disease and how to treat it. I hope this information helps some of you to find a Dr that can help you.
