Hi all, I found this site by a search engine and am glad I did. I am hoping to make some friends who share the common goal of beating this awful and painful disease. I have not had an easy life as far as health goes. It started with my first surgery at age 5 for a staff infection and went downhill from there. I am 27 years old and have had more than my share of operations ranging from hernia, lymph noid removal, appendix, two miscarriages before being diagnosed with a blood clotting disorder to finally endometriosis. I went to the dr. last week doubled over in pain (was diagnosed last august with endo) and my dr. said she wanted to send me to a specialist. Well on Friday I went to see him and he started me on the lupron shots. I have only had one and am having my second on May 7th. I'm on my period now which he said should be my last for 6 months. He said this will stop the endo and give it time to heal with the hopes for pregnancy after the treatments are over in september. We have been pregnant twice and it took two miscarriages to discover I have a blood clotting disorder which can be resolved by taking baby aspirin etc. I know I am only 27 years old (everyone says I have all the time in the world)but we want kids more than anything in the and hearing the heartbeat both times about did me in!!!! I am terrified of having it happen again but determined to fix the problem and beat the odds and have a family one day. I am blessed to have a loving husband who only wants the pain to stop for me! I have read a few of the posts on lupron but have to admit I choose two terrifying stories and was to scared to read on!! I would love to talk to someone and get some feedback (hopefully positive on lupron or anything else that worked for you). I hope to meet you all soon!
