Painful sex was the first thing that really made me realize I had
something wrong besides "just bad periods" which were "just a woman
thing". (quoting dumb doctors here!) I know now for sure it is caused
by endo, but I also have a tilted uterus and that can cause painful sex
as well. Since my uterus is tilted, the Doc said that when my husband
penetrates, he could actually be hitting the uterus since it is sitting
abnormally. That could be another possibility of painful sex, but if
you are noticing the pain beyond sex, I would suggest seeing a Doc and
discussing endo.
