There are hundreds of different strains of HPV. Some cause gential
warts and some cause irregular pap smears, the "cell changing" strain.
They are two different types of strains. If you have warts, or
something that shows up white when vinegar is applied, you don't have
the strain that causes irreguar pap smears possibly leading to cervical
cancer. The strains that produce warts are harmless. If your doctor
didn't do a biopsy, I would go back and request one. A biopsy is the
only true way to diagnose genital warts.
