Re: upset over diagnosis--please helpFrom: Julie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed Mar 31 14:17:11 2004
I understand your feelings of shame and embarassment over this. Remember that no one "walks on water" and even though you may have a visible reminder of past regrets, you are a worthy person. God still loves you and He will get you through this. Wake up every morning and look at yourself in the mirror. Tell yourself, out loud, that you are a child of God and a person of worth. Never allow yourself to hear or believe the lie that you are "dirty" because you have a reminder of your sin that is visible. In God's eyes, we are all the same. He looks at all sin as sin, there is no sin greater than another. Ask Him for forgivness, and forgive yourself. Then, get on with your life remembering the lesson you have learned. Perhaps you could spread the message to people in your community about how common HPV is and how easily it is spread. Maybe you could save another girl from having to go through what you are going through. And thank God that your boyfriend is a real man. It takes a real man to say what he said, and you are blessed to have him. (I am not in any way trying to offend you if you are not religious or don't believe in God. I am just sharing with you how I would cope with this if I were you. Please don't take this message the wrong way.) I will be praying for you,
-- Julie
