Have you tried applying for Medical Assistance? I have worked in the medical field for many years (decided to get a career in medical after I was diagnosed w/endo.) Several patients of the clinic I worked for received assistace thru their state. You should be able to apply thru a state agency and find out if you qualify. Even if you work, a lot of places will look at your income and determine how much you need to pay every month. You should not be turned down due to pre-existing conditions, the only reason they would turn you down is because you make too much money. If that is the case, talk to your physician about a payment plan, the hospital should be able to put you on one as well. Also, there are some physicians who will give a "medical hardship" discount, meaning they will discount their services for people who cannot afford them. I hope this helped some, if you have any other questions please contact me. My e-mail is mdsporn@hotmail.com. Good Luck!
