A female is only allowed to be on this for 6 months and never again. It did take approx 2 - 3 months for my "aunt flo" to come back. It's just very possible that switching from a monthly injection to a 3-month injection could have thrown your system that out of whack. With this injection you have to remember that it puts your body through "menopause". I went through hot flashes, mood swings, loss of memory. And it took a year for it to completely get out of my system. Not a fun time.... I bet you the weight gain does have something to do with the fact that you haven't had your period in quite some time. And keep in mind all the "hormonal craziness" (as my boyfriend put it) your body may be going through. Good luck and pls keep me posted on your progress. Maggie

I was diagnosed with pelvic endometriosis about 3 years ago. Many of my symptoms
had to do with stomach aches, back pain and frequent trips to the bathroom. When
I threw out the idea to my specialist that I could have endometriosis of the
bladder - he looked at me like I was crazy. So of course when he did the
lap three years ago he dismissed my thoughts and didn't check the outside of
my bladder. Now I am on the birth control pill consistantly so I do not menustrate.
This of course is helping the majority of my pain and symptoms. But I'm still
experiencing back pain, many trips to the bathroom and pain when I feel the need
to go and pain if I do go.
So, I am another woman who understands what you ladies are going through.
Question is now....what steps do we take next to find relief for ourselves.
