Endometrioma on the abdominal wallFrom: Kara (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat Feb 28 23:06:28 2004
Hi.I've had 2 c/sections.1 in 1998 and 2nd in 2000.I have had pain for 1.5yrs and they finally diagnosed me in Jan 2004 with endometrioma of the abdominal wall.At first they thought it was a hernia, but through a cat scan they found the problem.I have had tenderness along my lower abdomen for 1.5yrs.It never goes away, its constant. My left side pinches every once in a while. It's very very tender and feels like a bruise.I've been told this is nerves pinching.Where my C/section scar is,is where the endometrioma is.I feel lumps along my incision scar and is painful and very very tender. When I lay down it hurts, when I sit or stand for long periods of time and I get up after standing,I'm hunched over in pain.I get cramps, but has nothing to do with menstrual cycle.I can just stand, and my lower abdomen where the lumps are, pinch.I itch my stomach and have no idea why?I wonder if it could be stretching?I get bloated to the point of looking 8 months pregnant.I have sometimes vomited because of the bloating being so bad that all my food sits in my upper middle stomach. It's gotten to the point that it affects everyday life. When I bend over the sink to wash my hands it's painful. To bend over and get back up,I'm hunched in pain.To wear jeans,it hurts. To do up a seatbelt it hurts. It's so tender. If anyone bumps me by accident it hurts. It's along my whole lower half.It doesn't hurt to have sex.It doesn't affect my menstrual cycle.I've been on the pill for ages. And I have no pain medication.Im up for abdominal surgery in May to have them removed.Apparently,I'm healthy as an Ox.It's just my lower abdominal wall that is causing me this pain.I've read that others have had this but haven't explained their symptoms. So Now as my lower half is pinching,it's time to go.Talk soon.
