Surgery yet again!

I was diagnosed with a mass inside my right ovary during a vaginal ultrasound and also my left ovary could not be found at all! So my family doc has set me up with a specialist and says the right ovary means surgery have it removed and biop. I had extensive sugery 10 years ago for endo, cyst, ect. I then went through infertility treatment to no avail the damage was too bad. Now I am 38 and have adopted 3 babies. My question? should I be concerned about missing ovary? I am also thinking of just having it all removed. I don't want the emotional toll of this again in another ten years. Any opinions?
