Re: Am I crazy or is this Endo?From: Wendee (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun Feb 22 17:30:36 2004
Kelley, wow, you sure have been having a hard time of it for a damn long time. It still amazes me how doctors can dismiss symptoms that impact every aspect of life so easily. I would highly recommend finding a doctor that specializes in endometriosis. They tend to know what's going on, even if it isn't endo. In fact, that's one of the reasons why I'm moving back to California from Maui. Doctor Andrew Cook at Vital Care Institute in the Bay Area [phone #(408) 358-2511] is considered one of the best and has helped many many women. If you can get the finances together, it might be a good idea to try to get an apointment with him. Another option is to join the Endometriosis Association. They offer a hotline, support groups, and, most importantly, a doctor's list, so if you can't make it to Cali, you will be able to assess other options. Their website is http://www.endometriosisassn.org/endo.html if you want to check them out. (The membership is only $35.00 per year.) I wish you the best of luck and hope that you find an answer soon. ~Wendee~
