Yes, I had very little relief after my first surgery. I hurt at my 6 week appt (At my two week I was still sore from the surgery). What it turned out to be is that my doctor for some reason or another completely missed the lesion that was causing me the most trouble. I admit, that it may have not been visible at the time of my surgery, but It was very visible and scarred at my second surgery. I would say to not give up. I found that my pain did improve gradually after the first surgery until it began to gradually get worse again.

OTOH I was practically pain free for a year after my second surgery.
