Re: Can retroverted uterus be the cause?

I was told at 15 that I had a retroverted uterus (tilted backwards) when I had my first gyn exam. I was told later by my doctor, after it was discovered via a lap that I had endo, that my tilted uterus could have contributed to the retrograde menustration that is considered to be one of the causes of endo. I was diagnosed at 21, but I had symptoms from 11- the time of my first period. I have had a severely weekened immune system since I was an infant, too, which my doctor's attribute to my endo. I have never heard that this condition could be fixed, but I know that it is very common, however not all women with a retroverted uterus have endo and not all women with endo have a retroverted uterus.
