Adhesions, Endo and PregnancyFrom: Drew (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun Feb 8 22:44:28 2004
Hi all, I have posted a little something about myself before, but as a refresher I have Stage III (severe) Endo/Adhesions on my left ovary, the entire ovary is disfigured from adhesions, although my fallopian tubes are not blocked, eggs are trapped in my left ovary due to the adhesions. My right ovary is in good condition and appears to be healthy. No Endo detected there. Despite the healthy ovary, I don't ovulate normally, only once in a while. I have large gaps between periods (often more than 70 days). Can you think of a reason why?? My question is, does anyone here share a similar situation? I would like to fall pregnant, but so far no luck. According to my IVF nurses I grow good eggs on both ovaries if sufficient fertility stimulation is used. But I am not sure if Endo is reducing my chances in falling pregnant naturally. I have been advised by my doctor that the removal of the `bad' ovary may be beneficial in case the Endo spreads to the good ovary in the long term. Thanks for reading!
