I learned the hard way that Estrogen is fuel to endometriosis. I had a complete hysterectomy on December 19th 2003 and that same day they put an Estrogen patch on me. Within 3 days I was in so much pain in every spot I have endometriosis that my doctor did not see (bowels, incision site, bladder and the left side of my pelvic cavity) that I was seeing stars trying to go to the bathroom and almost fell of my toilet. I put two and two together and took the patch off and within 3 weeks I have absolutely no endo pain at all. I am looking into Natural Hormone Replacement Therapy without Estrogen now. I came across a really good book if anyone is interested...."The Estrogen Alternative" by Raquel Martin. It is so informative, I only wish I had this information before I decided to go against all my better judgements and have a Hysterectomy because I could no longer bare the pain of Endometriosis and the really bad periods. In the book it says a lot about Endometriosis and Estrogen Dominance in some women. Estrogen Dominance is also linked with so many other ailments we all complain of here in this forum (joint pain, bloating, fatigue..etc)Anyone who would like to talk more about this feel free to email me.
