Re: DepressionFrom: Lori (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat Jan 31 11:29:03 2004
Hi, Can you chart this?Same time each month? If it starts before your period, like the same time each month, then could be hormonal. Mine used to start about 8 days before each period, MAJOR anxiety with low grade depression which then would be horrible & unlike me for about 2 days. Mine was definately hormonal-too much estrogen & it also other times turned into being related to not wanting to deal with this disease anymore!, SO FED UP!. My faith really pulled me thru most of it & a naturopath Dr. has balanced the hormones with herbs, along with progesterone cream which made it not so severe. I was also given St. Johns Wort(an herb) in the beggining of treatment, which helped a lot. I would suggest also to not withdraw like I did many times during it-so hard not to, but instead try to get outside, push yourself even if you are not up to it & surround yourself with people who love you during that time, have a project you can pull out & keep a journal to get your feelings out if you don't feel like talking to anyone. Lori
