Re: Could surgery have aggravated adhesion?From: Lisa (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu Jan 29 07:18:38 2004
Hi Rosa, I want to encourage you to go back to the dr or get a second opinion! I went in to surgery 2 years ago to have my tubes tied. I was, what I thought to be a normal, active, healthy adult with the occasional BAD period. I had been complaining about those Bad periods to my dr and it was blamed on a variety of things. When I was recovering from the tubal I was asked by my dr "why I had not informed her that I had endo?" Like I knew? sheesch! So, here I am 2 years later with a variety of problems directly related to the tubal surgery. My new dr, a endocrinology reproductive specialist, informed me that, because of the way the tubal was performed I now have had to have another surgery to remove all the adhesions and had to have my tubes removed due to blood clots forming in them! Bottom line, unless the surgeon is a specialist, any surgery could cause endo to advance. Even the best specialist would want to put surgery off as a last resort due to that fact. I wish you the best of luck LisaK
