Ovarian pain without cystFrom: Darlene (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed Jan 28 15:15:52 2004
Hello, I am, like so many women on this board, struggling with endo. I have struggled with it for alot of years. Endo, Fibromyalgia, Meniere's Syndrome and IBS... (all immune system related ack!) I have made great progress with diet and excersize, keeping myself pain free at least until I get my period. Now though, I am experiencing right sided (mostly) ovarian pain... but this pain lasts all month long off and on. Right now while I am menstruating it is excruciating. Went to the gyn this morning imagining an ENORMOUS endometrioma or cyst on my ovary. She gave me an extensive manual exam and said that my ovaries felt normal. Well it didnt feel normal to me, while she was palpating my right ovary it was VERY very tender. Now I am having the stabbing deep pains that I get in my ovary, only I know there is no cyst there. Do any of you know what can cause this? Can the endo by attached to my ovary and cause the pain? Or could adhesions cause this kind of pain? I suppose I just want to know if anyone else feels these stabbing pains in their ovaries? Thanks for your help Darlene
