Re: Pain worse at night?

Tricia,

I've found that a moist heating pad helps me immensely. While it doesn't relieve the pain, it's very soothing. I've also found that drinking an herbal tea of some kind--caffeine free!--before I go to bed helps. I sleep with a heating pad almost every night because some nights the back cramps are so bad. I've all but given up on pain meds since they don't help me much. If you have someone willing, sometimes a "tummy rub" helps, too. I have my partner use a light massage oil with lavendar (it helps me sleep), and rub that on my stomach and back to help with circulation. Often this alone is enough to get me asleep until the next sharp pain wakes me up--then I start all over again...

Hopes this helps at least a little...
