I'm new to Obgyn although I'm not new to endometriosis. I wanted to say that long before I had my laparoscopy (which was when I was 25 ..I am 34 now) I would suffer the most horrible lower back pain one week prior to my period. What helped get me through the pain was hot baths, heating pad, and doing back stretches...sit on the floor and pull your legs up against your chest and hold that position.. then I would lay flat and repeat a few times. I could have taken pain pills but as often as I would have needed to I probably would have become addicted to them. I had my first child at 21 ..felt great for 4 years without the pill...but could not conceive. Then all of a sudden the pain hit me like a ton of bricks...thats when I had the lap. Then I went on lupron (horrible drug for me)..but after clearing one fallopian tube I was able to conceive. My son is now 5 and I'm still living fairly pain free (i still get mild flair ups but NO irritable bowel) and I have accredited that to the pill. The other drugs they have for endo are so harsh... I would talk to your doctor about trying a different pill as there are several combinations and one may work wonders for you over another. Just a suggestion.
