You really need to call the doctors office and insist on a meeting before the surgery. You have a right to have your questions answered and they are really legitimate. And you need to go through what to expect, outcomes, reasons, etc. ANd what he is planning on doing, etc. Call the doctor and tell him you can't have the surgery before discussing it with him more thoroughly.
