Hi, I have had problems with ulcer type pain, heartburn, and I have IBS with diarrhea. I can barely eat anything without extreme digestion and bowel problems. I have pain with sex, sometimes even for one or two days after. Along with a ton of other endo symptoms. I know my IBS and digestion problems are directly related to the endometriosis. I had a laparotomy for my endometriosis two years ago and they found that all my organs, including intestines were all stuck together by adhesions. Afterwards, I was totally amazed at how much I could eat without even a gurgle, no pain, no bowel problems, nothing. It was great. I hadn't gone to the bathroom normal in so long that I didn't even realize how bad I even was. It was great! Anyway, unfortunately, it has all returned, only worse this time. So far I have lost 14 pounds and I survive on practically the same foods every day because there are so few that don't make me sick. Of course I got the run around from all the doctors around here and have been left to live this way. None of them want to really bother with me, they all want to pass me on to someone else. To make a long story short though, through this website I learned that there are specialists (very few) out there who can handle these problems and I have an appointment to see one of them on Jan 22nd. You'll see his name plastered all over this forum and the internet. His name is Dr. Harry Reich. If you're interested, you can read about him at http://www.adlap.com. Like you, it took me a long time to put 2 and 2 together. It's so hard to figure it all out by yourself. Anyway, I hope this has helped you. Feel free to e-mail me if you want to talk.
