Re: Belly button question

during my first lap, doc couldn't get the needle thing through my belly button, so he resorted to open lap. and when he did that, my skin tore, so i ended up with a J for a belly button. i b****ed at him for 7 months, and when i had the second lap, he showed me at the pre-op how he was going to fix the belly button (all this time had passed, and he still hadn't told me why my belly button looked the way it did. i didn't know until i read my surgery reports what happened). he drew all over it and said he was going to excise the scar and pull the skin over to the middle. he did it. it looks like a T now. not great, but at least it's a straight line. i had a lump under my skin for a while (to the left of the belly button), but now it's shrunk down to what feels like a grain of rice under the skin.

btw, i apologized to him last week for griping about the scar for so long. i told him i finally read the surgery reports, and i feel horrible about harassing him. lol.

my belly button still stings like crazy some days. but what can you do? i'm going to get it pierced soon because i want to cover the scar. its a little long, if you ask me.
