I took my pain pills and slept all day...the next day I was still uncomfortable but was able to move around some, and the next day after that was x-mas and I did the normal x-mas things....the worst part for me was also the stomach pain but that's it, I was out and about several days later and after 2 weeks I am feeling pretty good....as for when your boyfriend can take the day off, you might want to check who else will be able to take care of you...someone will have to take you home from the hospital and be around to get you whatever you need as you will be sore and drugged up....sorry I can't be more help, but good luck! hopefully yours will go well!
