Re: Can't shake the endo symptoms.From: anonymous@obgyn.net,Tue Jan 6 06:32:22 2004
Trish, I always appreciate any concern from a fellow endo sufferer. I only take that much Advil when needed, which fortunately is not everyday. I have had many prescriptions for Motrin 800. That is the same exact thing as taking four Advil, which are 200mg each. Ibuprofen (Advil) is simply the generic for Motrin, so it is the same thing. I also have a script for Cataflam, but that doesn't seem to do much for me, so I stick with my friend, Advil! I figure it is better to stick with that than get into hard core pain killers, which is the only other real thing to try. I don't do well on anything too strong-makes me not able to function at work, etc. I am a computer tech so I have to be clear headed. Even the Advil doesn't take all the pain away but at least lets me get through the day. Isn't it really amazing how much pain tolerance you can build with Endo? I have pain everyday, but it is so common now that it has become my norm, so somehow I just block it out and move on. Thanks again for caring! Other women on this forum and the many concerns and friendships I have developed through it are what keeps me going when I really just want to crawl into a ball and cry! Hugs and pain free days! Amy
