The Dr I saw a few weeks ago said it was a uterine infection and put me on 3 antibiotics (Cipro, metronidazole, and doxycycline). This past period started normally!! First time in years that I didn't have the black "gunk" first. I thought that must have cured it, but after my period should have ended, the black stuff came and lasted for three days. I was so excited that this was the cure, but apparently not?? Maybe that was a fluke, a freak thing, the black gunk at the end of this period. Maybe next period will be normal?!?!?!
