Laura,

Just know I'm not saying this is what you have, but it's just a possibility maybe. What my doctor thinks I have is "infiltrating endo", which is a type of endo where it's not on your organs and whatnot but IN them. That would be very hard to see with a lap.

Yes, I have pain during intercourse. It varies randomly from very bad to non-existent. I don't really notice rectal pain during menstruation or otherwise, so I guess that's a no to that question. But have you had a rectal exam? That is the reason why my doctor thinks I have it. It seems most doctors don't do them I guess but he did and it hurt so much I thought I was going to die. Then he explained how "these are the uterosacral ligaments which connect the uterus to the spine" (he put his fingers in a V) "and the colon goes through here" (and put a finger from his other hand almost between his V fingers). So, logically, if you have trouble with bowel movements this is a possibility. Though endo can infiltrate anywhere... they don't know what causes it (though they have many theories) or cures it, just that it mainly occurs in the reproductive system, but it can spread throughout your body sometimes :-( Of course, this is all what I have read.

Best wishes and I hope everything works out for you!

Shelby
