Re: Endometriosis Specialist (LS to Chris)From: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Dec 30 07:03:14 2003
Hello Chris. My first surgery with my obgyn was 01/02 and he said I had minimal endo...WRONG! I then researched and found Dr. Reich and saw him in June of that year. Had lap with him 07/03 and felt great. I had stage iv and had multiple cysts in and on both ovaries(both regular and endometriomas and 1 month after having US's where they said I had NONE), had lots of endo in cul-de-sac, intestines plus the typical ovaries stuck to pelvic wall thing and some adhesions. I cried when I saw my video when I got home the next day..to see the mess I was in plus the validation of it all. It was nice to know I was completely 'cleaned out' and that he did all he could. I had 2 back surgeries in Oct and Nov of that year and was starting to feel that 'sick' feeling again during that time. I had another lap in 04/03 and even though some of the endo was returning, it was mostly adhesion and endo on ovaries issues. I know doubt believe my nausea/sick issues are bc of the endo on the ovaries. It wasn't as bad as the first time but worthy of a lap. I am pregnant now and I feel better than I have in years..however I know the endo/adhesions are still there..I can tell by the throbbing, etc. Good luck with Dr. Reich. His people are very nice and professional esp. Lindsay and Lisa. You will be happy you have him as your doctor. I wish everyone could understand the difference bw going to an obgyn and specialist..it is clearly an apples and oranges issue. LS
