HELP--Removal of ovary and Post-Lupron Pain

Hi everyone, I have come across this forum and find it very useful. I am 27, not married and have no children yet. I had my first surgery in Feb. of 01 followed by 6 months of Lupron injections. I wish I knew then what I know now... I have stage 4 endo and they tried to remove as much as possible...

I had cysts grow while on Lupron and since May of 03 have been on continuous birth control. I have pelvic ultrasounds every 3 months and the cysts have grown to be very large again and the pain is getting bad again. My dr. told me I should either have another surgery or try that experimental treatment used by Dr. Bulun--the breast cancer med. I opted for the surgery b/c I can't imagine how much worse side-effects can be with a more potent drug than Lupron. My 2nd surgery is Jan. 12, 04 and I need some advice. My dr. has suggested that if the right ovary is "unhealthy" we remove it. I am not so sure anymore, even though I told him that if it were unhealthy, what would be the point in keeping it... Does anyone have any advice? Should an ovary be removed or does anyone know if there is a chance in the future for it to be healthy again? I will still have the 2nd lap and have the cysts removed, etc., but I may tell him not to remove the ovary until--if needed--a 3rd surgery.

Lupron pain--I have had awful joint pain and bladder problems since Lupron and was wondering if anyone else with these problems--aside from seeing a rheumatologist and urologist (which did nothing for me)--has tried massage therapy or acupunture or anything??? I am in so much pain it hurts to walk and get out of bed in the morning. Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks for your time, sorry about the long message :-) Joanne
