Re: Pain for a week after sexual intercourseFrom: lauren (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun Nov 30 17:55:52 2003
Skinny, I am so sorry. Sex pain is the absolute pits - I had it for about 6 months. I wasn't in pain for more than a day after, but it sure hurt like a bitch during! Anyway, if it makes you feel any better, my sex pain went away after I changed my diet and starting taking chasteberry, and it hasn't been back since. This could all be a big coincidence, I know I am extremely lucky. I've heard a lot of women w/ endo related sex pain say that it helps them to (1) be really arosed before trying and (2) not to get tooo graphic, but "have your fun" before penetration, if you know what I mean, so you will be all the more relaxed. Also, not to be a know it all, but you mentioned you were using a lot of creams -- if they are antibiotics (and you don't have an infection of bad bacteria) I'd lay off them, because they will kill all the good bacteria in your vagina, which can cause chronic yeast issues (which, as I'm sure you know, you are already at high risk for because of the birth control pills). Just a thought. Best of luck.
