Hi there. I know it is slow on the forum on a holiday weekend...I am sorry you are in so much misery. Has your doctor performed a laparoscopy for you? That is the only way that Endo can me diagnosed so far. What kind of surgery is your GYNO suggesting? I am 21 and was diagnosed when I was 19. Believe it or not, there are a lot of women our age that have endo, even young teenagers. It affects every age group and is scary for everyone. That is why this forum is nice--there are many women out there who go thru what we do. You will need to do some research so you know what your options are for endo if you have it. Two good books to read are "coping w/endometriosis" by Robert H. Phillips and "overcoming endometriosis" by Mary Lou Ballweg. If you have some general questions you can look at previous messages posted here. Best wishes, Shari
