I have a friend who went to see Dr. Albee. Hers is a long, detailed story of difficulty getting treated properly by a GYN in her area. Because of her story, an endo specialist, I believe, is the only way to go. A GYN that does laparoscopy with laser is not an endo specialist. Dr. Albee excises (completely removes) all endo in the ENTIRE abdominal cavity up to the duodenum. He thoroughly searches for all types of endo. There are some cases in which a hysterectomy may have to be done (i.e., adenomyosis). However, the best judges of that are the doctors in this group in Atlanta. My friend says if you send all of your records, per their instructions on their web site or by calling them, they will review your case and let you know if they can help you. That way you avoid an unnecesssary trip if they cannot help. Most cases are taken. Hope this helps! Denise
