I too had a terribly heavy period after I stopped bf my daughter. I had
three months of pelvic pain also. my dr thought it was related to the
endometriosis and prescribed Nuva ring, and pain releivers. it took two
months for nuvaring to kick in for pain releif, but it worked for me.
after I stopped bf my son a year earlier, I had two periods a month
(heavy). this too was probably related to my endo.
birth control pills didn't work then (actually I am terrible at
remembering to take them so it was probably my fault) that is why
nuvaring is better because you insert it for four weeks, and remove it,
and then put a new one in right away, and never have a period. I am not
too sure I am comfortable with not having a period, so I may give myself
one every so often.
hope this answers your question.
