Complex ovarian cysts & endometriosisFrom: Cindy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed Nov 26 08:36:42 2003
I am a 38 year old woman who has suffered extreme pelvic for 20 years. Every month I go through hell. In addition to pain and cramps, my cycle comes with bloating, fever, vomiting, irregular bowels, depression, and anxiety. A few years ago leg swelling was added to the list. A veinagram could not explain the swelling. At the same time I began having irregular paps. I've had more than 6 cervical biopsies and Digene DNA tests; no virus, bacteria, or cancer. I then had cryosurgery which didn't work. Another doctor said I had endometriosis and put me on 3 months of hormones. After that, the break through bleeding started and a D&C was ordered. Since the D&C, the bleeding and pain has gotten worse. My doctor suggested a uterine burn. My primary doctor ordered an ultasound and 2 MRIs last week. These tests showed a complex cyst(5.3 cm)on my left ovary and cysts in my uterous. I have to repeat the imaging in a few weeks. Are all my symptoms related? I tired of waiting to see. I don't know what to do now. It seems like my doctors don't know what to do either. I am so fustrated. If anyone has any advice please respond.
