I have suffered from shoulder pain for years and have been diagnosed and
undergone surgery & medical treatment for endometriosis. It was not
until after I had surgery and switched doctors, that my Ob-gyn mentioned
the possibility that I have endometriosis on my diaphragm. I was lucky
enough to get pregnant through in vitro & the shoulder pain disappeared
while pregnant, but has started again (while I am nursing).
Unfortunately, during the surgery that I had in 2001, the doctor did not
check the diaphragm. I have attached a link below to Dr. Redwine's
website regarding diaphragmatic endometriosis (Perhaps this information
will give you a little more leverage when talking to your doctors about
this...And you should switch doctors if it doesn't)
