Re: I want my life back!!From: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri Nov 21 07:28:49 2003
Emily, I know where you are coming from. I am most likely facing hysto next year. My endo just keeps getting worse, no matter how many laps, lupron, pills, etc I take. I have no kids, have never wanted any and neither does hubby, so that is not my concern, but being 32 and having all organs removed is a scary thought! I am probably going to go for it because I also want my life back and am sick of all the pain, fatigue, bleeding, etc. It can never hurt to get a second opinion though. My Doc isn't trying to force me, has left it in my hands, but says that I can either keep trying things to get a temporary fix or get it over with. There is a great website called http://www.hystersisters.com. It is dedicated to women who have had or are going to have a hyst. Lots of great info and advice. I've really been checking things out on this site and starting a list of questions to take back to my Doc in a couple months. Hang in there! We can all relate and sympathize. Feel free to email me direct if you ever want to chat more. Hugs! Amy Meyer
