Endometrioma again!!!From: Anna (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon Nov 17 12:29:31 2003
Last January, I had an endometrioma removed from both ovaries. One was more than 7 cm and the other about 2.5. After the surgery, I had 6 months of the Lupron shot, with the last shot on July 2. Then, I went on oral concraceptives. Last Wednesday I had an ultrasound and I have what appears to be two more endometriomas (one in each ovary). The one in the left ovary is already 3.5 cm. Is this a quick reoccurance? What are the other alternative approaches? I assume that I'll have to have surgery again. What follow-up care should I be looking for? I'm 31 years old and single. I really want to have children when I find the right man. I know that my chance are slim but I want to do all I can to save my reproductive organs.
