Marla, I am in the same situation as you, but am married. I have done the Lupron, had several laps, am now doing continuous birth control and still am in constant pain. I just went to a new Doc a few weeks ago because my other one was useless!! and he has suggested hysto too-complete removal of everything. I am currently thinking this over and researching things. I don't care if I have kids, but am somewhat scared of the whole HRT controversy, as well as how I will react without natural hormone production. My Doc has basically told me that I can keep doing things that will temporarily help or I can go for the hysto and take care of it. I am leaning towards the hysto because I really do not want to keep "band-aiding" myself and having the endo pain come back. I hate to say that I think it really is the last resort (at least for me) although it does not guarantee no more problems. Hard decision, isn't it? Feel free to email me direct if you want to talk further.
